Our

months through twelve (12) years of age. However,
every child must be able to function within the
teacher/child ratio.
All children the age of 2 should already be or at
least working on being potty trained.
HighPointe
is licensed by
the State of Florida under the direction of
DCF. We are
required to meet many standards
in order to
maintain a license. This center is inspected
routinely by local,
county and state
agencies.
This center is one of the few accredited centers
in the county. That means that
HighPointe
Preschool maintains higher standards than many
other
preschools.
CLOSED HOLIDAYS / HOLIDAY INFORMATION / INCLEMENT
WEATHER
The
center
is closed the following holidays:
NEW
YEARS DAY, GOOD FRIDAY, MEMORIAL DAY, JULY 4TH,
LABOR DAY, THANKSGIVING DAY AND THE FRIDAY AFTER,
CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS DAY.
If the holiday falls on a weekend:
If the Holiday is
on a Saturday the
facility will be
closed on Friday and if the holiday falls on a
Sunday then the
facility will be
closed on Monday.
Inclement
Weather Days:
If
the public schools close for reasons of bad
weather then the center will close also, except
for extended periods of time. If the conditions
are safe then
HighPointe
will be open even though the public schools may
choose to remain closed for several days.
Note: If the
center
is closed for another reason other than holiday
such as power outage, storm, or other natural
problems we are unable to control, there are no
deductions in tuition unless the
center
is closed for three or more days in the same week.
Non-VPK Hours
- We encourage
you to bring your child into the
center by
8:30 a.m.
and no later than 9:00
a.m. so that he
or she may fully
enjoy all the
scheduled
activities.
Children will not
be accepted into the center after 9:30
a.m., unless special arrangements are made.
This helps us to
better plan our day and maintain child/teacher
ratios
and allows your child to get the benefit of the
full day planned activities.
VPK Hours
- VPK hours vary during the school year. Please
see your center Director for times available.
Full-Day VPK is offered during the summer.
Naptime/Quiet
time
is from 12:15
p.m.
until 2:15 p.m.
for certain groups,
with the exception of VPK.
When calling about your child it is best to call
during nap time. If your child’s teacher is busy
with her group, he or she will return your call as
soon as possible.
Even though the
center is open
11.5 hours per day, we consider 10 hours a full
day for a child. If your child has to stay
occasionally for more than 10 hours
please inform the Director
and she will rearrange
scheduling if necessary. There is an extra charge
after 10 hours
unless parent is working more than 10 hours for a
particular day
and has made arrangements with the office.
